Texas Amnesty Program

The Texas Amnesty Program which begins on May 1st and ends June 29, 2018 is a program aimed at helping taxpayers that owe taxes get up to date without having to pay for penalties and interest under certain circumstances.

  • Reported periods must be before January 1st 2018
  • Any periods that the taxpayer has been notified are scheduled to be or are in audit review are not eligible.
  • Accounts that have been certified to the office of the general attorney, in litigations, reduced to judgment, local motor vehicle tax, IFTA taxes, PUC gross receipts and unclaimed property taxes do not apply.

Applying for the program does not increase the chances of getting audited but the information you provide can be audited. The amnesty does apply to all city, county and local taxes as well. Unfortunately, no installment plans are available for taxes due. If you need helping figuring how much tax you owe contact us and submitting payments contact us.
